Introduction
The Stratford Gyratory project, undertaken in collaboration with JB Riney, was a significant endeavor covering an expansive area of 73,000 m2. It encompassed various streets including High Street, Broadway, The Grove, and Great Eastern Road. Additionally, the project involved the integration of multiple junctions and side streets such as Chant Street, Burtons Court, West Ham Lane, Tramway Avenue, Romford Road, Park Avenue, Manbey Grove, Manbay Park Road, Grove Cress Road, Oxford Road, Salway Road, Angel Lane, the bus station, and numerous private roads.
Challenges and Approach
Recognising the inherent challenges posed by the project's scale, we initiated the process by establishing a meticulous survey reference point network and secondary control points. Utilising specialised mathematical software, we meticulously adjusted the coordinates to ensure accurate placement of every object without any overlapping or clashes. Our dedicated engineer exhibited exceptional expertise and adaptability, identifying design discrepancies, anticipating construction issues, and proactively devising solutions for each challenge encountered.
